If you identify as a fan of classic slot games, then Burning Flame by software provider Game Art will certainly appeal to you. This is a modern take on a vintage style slot machine, with all the traditional fruit symbols and everything else that usually comes with a game in this genre. We say modern because of the slightly more contemporary layout of the game, which you will be sure to notice. But we also say that because of the brilliant and shiny quality of the graphics. Game Art is very well known for the quality of their visuals and this game is genuinely up to that standard. In addition, symbols forming winning combos really come to life and dazzle you with their neat animations. And speaking of those, the backdrop is a living, dancing wall of flames. Maybe they’re not entirely realistic, but they do a good job for this purpose.
We already revealed that most of them are pretty much the well-recognizable fruit symbols we all know from classic one arm bandits. The lowest paying of them are the cherries, the plums and the lemon and orange symbols. Following them we have the mid-range symbols of the grapes and gold bells. The latter are perhaps the icon displaying the most detail on these reels. And last but not least we have the obligatory red lucky 7. It’s the game’s highest paying symbol, with prizes reaching up to a whopping 1,000 times your stake. However, it doesn’t have any additional qualities to it. With that said, there are no Wild symbols on these reels.
The only special symbol available in Burning Flame is the game’s Scatter symbol. It’s also the least lucrative icon here, but it does fulfill its properties as a Scatter. In other words, it will be able to offer you payouts without having to necessarily land on an active payline. The Scatter comes in the shape of a red star and just as is the case with all the rest of the symbols, you will need at least 3 of them to land anywhere in sight, in order to score a prize. Unfortunately, though, as classic themed slot games like this go, it won’t trigger any special features. As a matter of fact, there are no special features in this game at all. This means there are no freespins, no bonus rounds, no multipliers and certainly no pick me games. But, as this is after all a Game Art slot game, it would be a crime if it didn’t include the hallmark Gamble feature. As is custom, the Gamble feature will allow players the opportunity to increase their prizes whenever they so choose. In order to do that, you will need to select to gamble your win from a successful spin, immediately after it. This will open a new screen with a deck of cards facing downwards. Your goal will be to guess whether the top card in the pile is red or black in color. If you are correct, your amount will double in size and you can move on to a further attempt. You can have up to five of these in total. At this point you can choose to either gamble further or collect your win and resume the base game. However, if you guess incorrectly, you will lose your prize altogether and the feature will end. It’s a bit of a risky game, but it adds that right amount of spice to gameplay.
